About The Project

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide and is often discovered only in later stages, when treatment can be more difficult.

We are developing a personalized cancer vaccine made using a patient’s own immune cells. These cells are trained to find and attack cancer cells, helping the body fight the disease without harming healthy tissue.

How It Works

Collecting Samples – A small amount of tumor tissue and blood is taken from the patient.

Preparing the Vaccine – The tumor sample is processed to extract important “markers” that the immune system can recognize.

Creating Immune Cells – Certain white blood cells are turned into special “dendritic cells,” which can train the immune system.

Training the Cells – These dendritic cells are taught to identify the cancer markers.

Giving the Vaccine – The trained cells are given back to the patient to help the immune system detect and destroy cancer cells.

Scientific Rationale

Some cancers can hide from the immune system. Our approach “switches on” the body’s defenses, teaching it to see and attack the disease. Similar vaccines have already shown success in other types of cancer, helping patients live longer and improving their quality of life.

Sipuleucel-T (Prostate Cancer)
